They are vile, ugly bugs with a checkered past and a future that should feature prominently in some version of sf. Either way, you'll have more information than you need to manage this challenge. Submit a story (create a child page to this page by clicking the link below) in which this fabled creature of European descent figures in some way. Do you see a way in which these creatures crush cockroaches in the race for world domination? Or perhaps your main character wakes up one morning to find that her lover has morphed into one. Maybe those nasty pincers could be used to suck the venom out of a cobra and transform it into the next miracle drug. Or are they the truth behind zombies? Or, is it simply that seeing one creeps you out so bad that you have to write a creepy story to overcome the experience. Figure it out and let us know.
