So I guess it's time to start. I haven't done much on my story but the Open Office window is open and I have done all my chores for the day. Our sys admin has added a fancy editor for these entries so I have to learn how to use it. It does seem to have some rendering problems on this browser but going full screen seems to fix it. 

My plan is to finish the first draft of the story sub it to this group for some feedback then fix it and send it to some paying market. The story is a private investigator trying to find the murderer of a rich and powerful man. It is set in a magical world. It's one of my first magic based stories and that is slowing me down a lot. I don't have a lot of experience in what type of magic system to create. I don't want evil and deamons I just want the magic as a replacement for technology. The magic is more the background so I'll just muddle through.
