I read an interesting blog today on writing that suggested that one of the easiest ways to jumpstart creativity was to take a trip. It's not so much about how far you go, or how exotic, but how being someplace unfamiliar opens your senses to appreciate things with a new perspective. May is a delightful month. Flowers are blooming like crazy. Hardly anyone is getting snow anymore. What better time to put this travel idea to the test? For the purpose of the challenge, go somewhere you haven't been (for at least a year or more). Let the unfamiliarity of the place inform some aspect of your writing: a new setting or context; a fresh take on an old idea; a standout character.

In your submission, tell us where you went, what you discovered and how it influenced you. Include a photo if you can. (You can attach images via the file attachments link below the textarea where you include your story.)
