Quantum mechanics is basically non-understandable. But Where Does the Weirdness Go? by David Lindley is a good introduction.

Disagree with the above thought that quntum mechanics is non-understandable. It just requires a good teacher:) New book by Brian Greene called Fabric of the Cosmos is a good start. Also there are a number of good instructional sites on the web. Just do a google search for quantum mechanics. many are geared to the novice. Do a similiar search for String theory. String (or D-brane) Theory seems a likely repalcement for Quantum Mechanics and a possible unifier of things Quantum and things Relative. -- EmptyKube - 24 Jul 2004

Maybe I add it here?
