Many of you know that I'm a great believer in journaling, specifically as described by Julia Cameron in The Artist's Way. (Everyone should at least read the book, in my not so humble opinion.) It has certainly helped me through plenty of stuff through the years.

Now, if you don't like the thought of burning through all those paper notebooks, or whatever else you might be inspired to use, there's a digital version via the site 750words.com. There, you can digitally produce anything you'd like. The stuff doesn't go anywhere, but you are able to reference. A bunch of fun stats will help to motivate you to write and write consistently. Even if you aren't into journaling, you could use it simply as a means of keeping to a strict writing goal. If you can write at least 750 words a day, you can finish that novel faster than you think.

The site is free to use for the first month then $5 per month after that. If you like to use expensive notebooks (I'm a fan of stocking up on the cheapest ones I can find when Target is selling school supplies) or pricey pens (I can go through 3 or more gel pens a month journaling), then this could actually save you a few cents. But it's more a matter of taste and style. Whatever works to keep you writing is best.
