Awfully quiet

The crits seem to be running thinner than usual. There are only a few of us using the forum. Is this a normal fall thing? Or is interest in SFWW winding down?

Re:Awfully quiet

Activity does diminish as the holidays approach, but I've never seen it this bad. Crying

To err is human. I am not human.

Re:Awfully quiet

It's been slow for a year and a half with a few exceptions. It's frustrating.

Re:Awfully quiet

For my part, its been a long September. Finally getting some free time again.

Re:Awfully quiet

It has been slow lately. I can't complain, though, because for various reasons I did very little with SFWW over the summer. However, this is a wonderful week: the garden is mostly finished, soccer and Junior Forest Wardens have not yet started and I have no evening meetings! I've had computer time three nights this week. It's awesome. I hope I can keep it up.

Spring Lull

I thought now was an appropriate time to revitalize this thread. No stories in the critique queue? SFWW has slunk into a new funk. Hmmm.

My excuses: Fifteen hours of opera, three children's book revisions, and a funeral. I finished my taxes early so I don't have that one to fall back on for April.

Anyone planning on awaking from slumber to sumbit something to the group?
Please?

The Nonactivity Plague

Thought this was an appropriate thread to reinvestigate. The nonactivity plague has spread again.

No opera or funeral excuses from me this year, though I did crunch the tax dead line.

I reiteratre this line: Anyone planning on awaking from slumber to sumbit something to the group?
Please?

Hellooooo?

I'm new here and am wondering...isn't there supposed to be something sent to all of us on the first of each month? For reading, then commenting on the submission?

Or am I missing email....again!

re: awfully quiet

Things are as they are.

I plan on submitting a story as part of my trying out period--once I get 4 stories to crit.

Since this is a small group and many members are part-time rather than full-time writers, it's not surprising that activity is low. But if people want something to happen, they should make it happen rather than wait for others to kick the ball off.

There is some steady activity, though, so there's hope.

Great!

Easier said than done!

Yep. There are many positive signs in the air. I'll keep cranking away.
