Three to five ideas,

First is the aircraft carrier idea that I discussed a couple of weeks ago, so it may be cheating to include it, but I’ve been mulling over it more. The basis is a billionaire who wants a yacht bigger than any other billionaire’s. The deck is transformed into a park, and they set sailing. At some point the park is infested with some very obtrusive dryads who claim that the trees here are better than their original forest because the air is fresher. Or maybe their original trees died because of air pollution. (I think dryads are supposed to die with their trees but these trees died o pollution the billionaire was responsible so there is justice here. They are a nuisance. ). ] Then I had a different idea—suppose the aircraft carrier is second hand and has ghosts of the sailors who served and died there. What do the glamorous guests think of this?

Second idea:

The Hubbell telescope is about to be killed off by being sent into the ocean. Suddenly an alien spacecraft appears next to it  and quite adeptly snags the telescope and then disappears with it. All earth is left stunned. A group of the final astronomers who had worked on the telescope has gathered to say goodbye to it. They theorize that the aliens had some use for it and thought it was wasteful to destroy it. But more shocking, they must have been keeping a very close watch on Earth for a long time.

Third idea

A rather bratty child (girl or boy, I haven’t decided) has been, unknown to his parents, studying magic from forgotten old manuals left by a notorious ancestor. One day in a classroom, he/she becomes very irked at a teacher, a very good one (male or female, not yet decided) and turns the teacher into a dog. Brat expects teacher to be cowed and other students to be admiring. The dog turns out to be a gorgeous one (husky?) and remarkably, can still speak. And the teacher/dog is able to keep on teaching the class and all the others love it. The spell turns out to be very temporary, and the brat is unnerved in the end by the teacher’s cold and foreboding look.

Fourth idea

It is discovered that dark energy is really the after world. It may be dark to us, the living, but for those who have gone on there, it can, if they have earned it, be anything they want. Not sure yet how this was discovered, but it has had a huge impact on the living human race. Perhaps it was found out by some odd researchers.
