Here it is. Not too bad but please tell me everything about it that you found troubling.

Date Night

The doorbell rang and Jade walked to the door. Before opening it she turned to her sisters and said, "You better be gone when we get back." She picked up her jacket and opened the door. "Hi, let’s get going." She turned and glared at her sisters as she closed the door.

"I guess you really want to see this movie," Tom said.

"Just my sisters being catty. I’m sure they would be telling you stories about me if I let you in."

"Maybe we should turn around," he smiled, "but seriously the early show was sold out so we have some time to kill. I’ve got a conference call with our Bombay office at ten. So an early dinner or we could go back to your place."

"Keep driving. You’ll get to meet my sisters sooner than you would like."

Tom parked the car. "There’s an Italian place not far from here--"

"Ghigiarelli's. I love that place. Dinner first and we could get some cannoli to go. Would you have time for a cannoli and a cup of coffee back at my place?

"I can’t say no to a cannoli."

The small talk continued until it was time to go to the movie. It was your typical romantic comedy, slasher zombie flick. As they exited Tom said, "I hadn’t realized the movie was so, ah, graphic. It got great reviews and was sold out for the earlier shows."

"Well, zombies don’t bleed much and it had a happy ending. They got each other at the end even if they were zombies."

They kept talking all the way back to Jade’s place. She opened the door and said, "It will only take a few minutes to make the coffee. What?" Two cats sat on the coffee table staring at them.

"Oh, you have cats."

"They’re strays. I fed them once and they keep coming back." She moved toward them and one ran into the kitchen while the other scampered behind the couch. "Ignore them or they won’t leave you alone. Have a seat and I’ll be back in a minute."

Jade walked into the kitchen and a cat was on the counter. In a flash it turned into her sister Bree.

"He’s cute and tall," Bree said. "And those eyes. Almost gold."

"Shut up. He’ll hear you," she put a pitcher of water in the microwave. "And if he comes in… I mean all you have on is that collar."

"You always were the most human of us. I can change before he sees me."

Jade measured the coffee into the French press. When she turned she saw Bree’s tail exiting the kitchen. When the water was heated she poured it into the press and waited for a bit. It took her a minute to find two matching cups. They went on a tray and she added the cannoli. She started for the living room.

"So your name is Bree. You’re quite friendly," Tom said.

Jade almost dropped the tray and saw the cat on Tom’s lap. He was looking at her collar. The second cat came around the corner of the couch and rubbed against his legs.

"Shoo, shoo," Jade chased the cats away. She placed the tray in front of him.

Tom’s phone make a ping and he pulled it out. "I’ve really got to go. How about next weekend? I’ll make sure I’ll have plenty of time and you pick the movie." He picked up a cannoli, "For the road."

"Let me think about it," Jade said smiling. "Call me tomorrow for an answer."

Tom put one arm around her and gave her a quick kiss. "More to think about." Jade followed him to the door and closed it behind him.

"Ooooo," both sisters said. They had changed into human form. "He looks delicious."

Tom skidded his car into the garage and took the stairs down to his safe room. He checked his phone. The Lycan app gave him five minutes until moon rise. The hair on the back of his hands had started to grow and his nails were turning into claws. No more dates on the first day of a full moon he told himself as he closed the heavy door behind him. It couldn’t be opened for twelve hours.

END

I had an idea to make it so that Tom and the sisters are planning on on having the other for a meal. What do you think?
