Jessica hires Tom, the PI and ex-cop, to find the murderer of her husband who was the leader of Universal Magic, the largest magic supplier in the country.

He finds the murderer who used a crude black powder gun to kill the husband.

Tom is injured and while recuperating in the hospital he is interviewed by Stoney who is a cop but is also a member of the secret Tech Corps which police the use of illegal technology.

There is a magical attempt on Jessica’s life and Tom is called in to protect and solve it.

Evil wizard didn’t realize that Jessica is a powerful wizard in her own right so he has to use the bad tech guys to try to kill her and take leadership of the company.

Stoney teams up with Tom and together they chase down the attempted murderer of Jessica.

They discover that there are some double agents in the corp.

ACTION

They end up tracing the attempts on Jessica’s life to a lead wizard in UM who wanted the top job and hired the tech guy to kill the husband.

Stoney and Tom find the lead wizard and kill him with low tech.
