Another simple one, but using an important item in the writer's toolkit: foreshadowing.
Foreshadowing
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Foreshadowing or guessing ahead is a literary device by which an author hints what is to come.[1] It is used to avoid disappointment. It is also sometimes used to arouse the reader.[2][3]
Write a scene, more or less, in which forshadowing is an integral part of the story. If you can do it in less, that's fine, of course longer is never a problem either.
Per usual, post your work as a child page to this one.
