A work in process. Hopefully, I'll add more as time is pretty limited right now. (Plus, I've no idea where this is going.)

Tiny sparks erupted in the air. Each burned brightly for a moment, then faded as it drifted earthward. As one died, another replaced it. It was like looking through a fog of glitter. Objects in the distance were visible, but obstructed by the shimmering lights so that even if one wanted to, it was difficult to see much more than the miniature fireworks.

Jael watched the display with concern. Mostly, it seemed harmless, but a few of the more energetic sparks burned through the rhododendron leaves in the hedge separating the light show from her back door. Thankfully, it was safely outside. Had she set off the machine inside, she might have burned down the house.
